Fitted with a highly responsive aluminium X-bar element, the Onyx provides fast and effective warmth. Heating solely through convection, it warms the surrounding air for a quick transfer of heat within minutes. This is best suited to rooms that might not be used as often, such as spare bedrooms, a study or utility space, but isn’t recommended as a primary source of heating.
The Onyx comes with integrated WiFi control, allowing you to manage your heating through the Tuya or SmartLife app on your smartphone. With access to the internet, you can easily adjust temperatures and take advantage of an array of energy-saving features, no matter where you are in the world.
Use 24/7 programming to set up a detailed heating schedule specifically tailored to match your daily and weekly routine, increasing efficiency in your property. Select from Comfort, Eco or Anti-frost mode for every hour of the day through a straightforward tap and select process on your phone. Alternatively, use the 1-24 hour countdown timer which will automatically switch the heater to standby mode after your set time elapses, for easy-set short-term heating. You can even pair the Onyx with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for hands-free voice control, switching your heating on/off and setting temperatures with a few simple commands.
The Onyx’s control panel offers touchscreen functionality and an adjustable, dimmable display, for discreet yet convenient manual control. Set the temperature, access the timer and switch between modes, through its sleek interface for whenever WiFi control isn’t necessary – plus, you can even use the keypad lock to ensure there’s no tampering with your settings.
Fitted with a precise thermostat accurate to ±1 °C, the Onyx maintains your ideal temperature for effortless heat management. It automatically switches the heater off whenever the temperature rises too far above your ideal level and back on again when it drops too low, ensuring no space is under or overheated.
With easy-attach feet for portability and wall mounted fixings for a more permanent fitting, the Onyx provides versatile installation options. It comes with its own plug for simple DIY fitting and a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty on the body, electronics and paintwork. The Onyx is also IP22 rated, meaning it is not suitable for bathroom installation.
